Young Artist Concert

Overview

The Utah Valley Symphony’s Young Artist Concert celebrates emerging musical talent from Utah County. Each year, promising young musicians compete in our annual Young Artist Competition, held in fall, for the opportunity to perform as featured soloists with the orchestra in February.

This competition provides a valuable platform for talented young performers to showcase their abilities, gain professional performance experience, and be featured in a full orchestral concert setting. It’s our way of investing in the next generation of musicians and recognizing the exceptional talent that calls Utah County home.

The competition welcomes instrumentalists and vocalists of various ages and experience levels. Winners are selected based on their technical skill, artistic interpretation, and stage presence. Winners then take center stage at the Young Artist Concert, performing with the full Utah Valley Symphony under the direction of Dr. Cheung Chau, in front of an enthusiastic audience of family, friends, and community members.

The Young Artist Concert is more than just a performance. It’s a celebration of musical excellence, dedication, and the bright future of music in our community. If you know a young artist who loves to perform, encourage them to audition for the fall competition.
